Synergy occurs when an interdisciplinary team combines
its strengths for treatment planning regarding esthetic
dilemmas with the goal of creating idealized patient
outcomes. The macroscopic relationships of the patient’s
orofacial appearance, the hard and soft tissue symmetry,
and the color and optical qualities of the biological
replications are critical to overall esthetics. The important
microscopic relationships of marginal adaptation, subgingival
contours, biofilm control, and biomechanical forces
of occlusion also impact longevity, health, and long-term
esthetics. Simple protocols for a systematic approach to
interdisciplinary esthetic reconstructive dentistry that
combines both macroscopic and microscopic factors will
be shared and illustrated.
Learning Objectives:
›› Learn how to maximize esthetic outcomes
›› Discuss an overall evaluation of the patient’s orofacial appearance
›› Develop an interdisciplinary coordination of hard and soft tissue
management
›› Understand macroscopic and microscopic parameters that create
a stable, long-lasting result
Recommended Audience: A, D, H

treatment outcomes like never before. For the esthetically
motivated patient, clearly defined treatment objectives,
attention to the management of the patient experience,
established clinical technique protocols, and identification
of any psychological undertones must all be recognized
to ensure their expectations are met. This presentation
will outline clinical protocols and techniques, from
diagnosis to delivery, that will maximize the talents of
your team to assist the patient toward a successful treatment
outcome.Learning Objectives:
›› Sequence interdisciplinary care for simple to complex restorative
treatments
›› Understand the preparation protocols for contemporary esthetic
restorations
›› Utilize laboratory/clinical communication techniques for high-level
outcomes
›› Learn clinical tips that will make for more predictable results and less
clinical stressRecommended audience: A, D, H, TFor additional free and discounted courses for new dentists, visit www.yankeedental.com/newdentist.

Meeting the Demands of Today’s Esthetic Restorative Practice Jacinthe Paquette, DDS Today, we have the opportunity to provide esthetic treatment options that replicate nature, provide enhanced esthetic results, and create a more youthful appearance for the individual patient. To provide this care requires a mastery of clinical skills and a deep understanding of the art and science of dentistry. This course will simplify these objectives by outlining the diagnostic guidelines and clinical protocols that maximize esthetic treatment outcomes for the simple to the very complex clinical cases. Learning Objectives: ›› Discover how to control the psychological aspects of caring for the esthetically demanding patient ›› Gain a deeper understanding of preparation protocols for esthetic restorations ›› Learn the power of provisionalization as an educational, diagnostic, and therapeutic tool ›› Develop effective communication tools with the laboratory technology for improved skills ›› Discuss the implant abutment characteristics that can enhance the appearance of the peri-implant tissues Recommended Audiences: DEndorsed by the Massachusetts Section of the American College of Prosthodontics
