Baystate Financial Services Lecture
If you are an older dentist looking to sell your practice to younger associates or other dentists, or if you are a younger dentist looking to buy the practice you are already in or want to be in, then this course is designed for you. Attendees will understand how to structure their practice to ensure they can transition their practice in the most cost effective and tax efficient way possible. This course will review how traditional approaches benefit the buyer and the government or the seller and the government. The difference between being an employee versus employer, and the benefits of both will also be discussed. During the course attendees will learn why employee benefits are more tax efficient than employer benefits.
Learning Objectives: ›› Discover how to design the purchase of a dental practice or the sale of your practice can benefit both the Seller and the Buyer ›› Learn why EmployEE benefits are more tax efficient and cost effective than EmployER benefits ›› Understand how the different business entity types (e.g., S-corporation, C-corporation, LLC, LLP, partnership, etc.) can affect the sale of your dental practice ›› Explore what types of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans are available to business owners ›› Discuss how various types of retirement plans can help in transitioning your dental practice
