• Volunteer Frequently Asked Questions

    NEW THIS YEAR, PLEASE READ: How many CEU Credits will be offered?
    CEU Credits -Credit is assigned by the MDS on an hourly basis, subject to final approval by the Board of Registration in Dentistry (BORID) in each state. Lectures, workshops, and hands-on courses receive one credit per hour (rounded down to the nearest hour). For courses not related to the practice of dentistry or dental hygiene, please check the BORID regulations.

    How do I download the handouts for a course I am volunteering for?
    Since the course you are volunteering for will not be in your registration record until after you sign-in on your scheduled day, a copy of the handouts will be placed in your onsite packet.

    Do I have to register for Yankee if I volunteer for a course?
    Yes, all volunteers must register for Yankee.

    Do I have to add the course(s) I’m volunteering for to my Yankee registration?
    No, you only need to register for Yankee or any other courses you want to take during the convention. We will identify you as a volunteer, so you can add your codes and print out a transcript.

    How do I print out a transcript for the courses I’ve volunteered for?
    As with any other course you take during Yankee, you will have to enter a secret code in order to print out a transcript. To do this, go to
     www.yankeedental.com and enter your badge number or name and zip code. Then click on the “add codes” link at the top of the page. You will see a message that says You have been identified as a Volunteer. Click here to add the course(s) you volunteered for. Once you click on the red link, enter your pass-codes that were given out at the end of your course.

    I don’t remember my password, what should I do?
    Please go to the Volunteer Login tab and click on the link to retrieve a new one.

    How can I see the courses that I have registered to volunteer for?
    Login in to your account and scroll to the bottom of the page. Your volunteer assignments’ will be listed there as either pending or approved.

    I’m having trouble logging into my account?
    If you have previously applied to volunteer using our website, you don’t need to fill out another application. Simply click on the volunteer login tab and enter your email address and password. If you are still having problems or may need to update your contact info or email address, you can fill out a new application.
