For early diagnosis of oral cancer there is an 80–90% survival rate, but with late diagnosis the death rate drops to almost 50% within five years! Dental professionals need to be up-to-date on risk factors and risk prevention related to oral cancer. Too many patients still believe tobacco is the greatest risk for oral cancer, and if they don’t smoke they think they are “safe." Discover what to look for and what to say related to oral cancer risks. This course will enable attendees to refine their head and neck exams inclusive of adjunctive technology.
