Michael Kelliher, DMD is a 1993 graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He operates a general dental practice in Longmeadow Massachusetts with an emphasis on digital restorative dentistry. Dr. Kelliher adopted CAD/CAM technology into his practice in 2009. He enjoys sharing his experiences with users and those interested in using technology to improve patient care.

Digital dentistry has exploded over the past decade. CAD/CAM, CBCT, milling, and 3-D printing have all positively impacted the practice of dentistry. In this course, the instructor will review current digital dentistry technology and examine how to incorporate these tools to improve patient care in modern dental practices. 

After this course attendees will be able to:
  • Understand how intraoral scanning can be used to improve digital workflows for restorative dentistry in both a same-day workflow and in collaboration with the dental lab
  • Define best practices for efficient implant planning and fabrication of appliances
  • Determine material selection criteria used in milling of restorations
  • Identify the benefits of incorporating CBCT technology into a general dentistry practice
  • Implement a strategy for advancing practices through technology
  • Create customized workflows for different clinical applications
