Mic Falkel, DDS is the chief medical officer and founder of Onpharma Inc., and an adjunct clinical professor at Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry at the University of Pacific. He also maintains a general practice in Monterey, CA.

This course will cover topics including: pharmacology of local anesthetics, chemistry, formulation, physiology, local anesthetics and infected tissue and buffering; causes of injection pain; measuring and achieving anesthetic success, definition of success, failures and consequences of failed anesthetic, how to eliminate certain types of failures; real time course of analgesia in dentistry, anesthetic performance background, clinical data review of time course of analgesia, impact of time course to the daily practice, products that improve the time course of analgesia; and local complications of anesthetic injections, ten most common complications.
