Jeremy Smith, is the Executive Chef at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. Since 2010, Jeremy and his team have been responsible for nourishing Kripalu’s guests by serving approximately 1,200 healthy meals a day. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Jeremy was trained in classical French cuisine and has cooked in fine-dining kitchens from Breckenridge, Colorado to London, England. In 2006, his love of natural foods and teaching brought him to the Canyon Ranch wellness resort in the Berkshires as Demonstration Chef. During Jeremy’s time there, Conde Nast Traveler rated the resort #1 for food and cooking classes. He currently teaches guests about healthy food and cooking at Kripalu with weekly cooking demonstrations and frequent immersive programs on food and nutrition. In addition to overseeing all foodservice at Kripalu, Jeremy is a Faculty Member of the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in Washington, DC, and a frequent guest chef and presenter on health and cooking for a variety of events around the country. His articles, tips and recipes have been featured in a wide range of publications including the Food Network Blog, Vegetarian Times, Yoga Journal, and Boston Magazine. He also is the author of The Kripalu Kitchen: Nourishing Food for Body and Soul and competed on Food Network’s popular Chopped cooking show.

Jeremy Rock Smith, Kripalu’s Executive Chef, graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and began his career in classical French cuisine, working in fine restaurants in the United States and abroad. In 2005, Jeremy’s love for teaching and natural foods led him to Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires, where he applied his classical training to creating healthy cuisine in their kitchen and as a demonstration chef. He joined the Kripalu Kitchen in 2010 as Chef de Cuisine and is the author of The Kripalu Kitchen: Nourishing Food for Body and Soul. 


In 2019, Jeremy competed on Food Network’s popular Chopped cooking show. 


This entertaining chef will demonstrate how to make delicious healthy foods in this upbeat and fun cooking presentation.
