Leveraging Your Leadership Strengths in the Practice
This course is action oriented. Starting with a foundation of four different leadership styles and four different interpersonal styles, attendees will come to understand how you can leverage the strengths of your style in managing your practice more effectively. At the same time, you will broaden the conscious choices you can make to use a wider variety of leadership and interpersonal styles. As you lead with your strengths, you empower others to lead with theirs. Instead of looking for what’s wrong, you begin to look for what’s right in yourself and in others. Attendees will leave this session with an action plan based on the leadership context in the practice.
- Differentiate between leading, managing, and influencing to become better at all three
- Develop an understanding of “situational leadership” and four leadership styles
- Identify situations where each of the four leadership styles are least and most effective in the practice
- Improve your leadership effectiveness by choosing the best leadership style given typical situations you face in your own leadership setting
- Identify your interpersonal style and how that influences how you are perceived as a leader
- Determine the interpersonal style of each member of your team to improve your ability to lead, manage, and influence
