Communication utilizes rapport and the power of words and suggestions to create the optimal conditions for cooperation and comfort of dental patients. Attendees will learn to differentiate between effective communication that can decrease pain and anxiety and ineffective communication strategies that can result in a negative effect during dental encounters and emergency events.

After this course attendees will be able to:

  • Demonstrate at least two components of rapport building
  • Discuss at least three beneficial applications of hypnotic communication that can be used in a dental setting
