Kathy Ells, Regional Director of Practice Finance for Provide. Kathy is experienced in transitioning more than 1,500 dental practices over the last 25 years. Providing solutions for lending for practice acquisitions, startup's, renovations, partnership buy-in/outs and refinancing. Beginning her career as an accountant has laid the coundation for providing financing solutions and by continuing her education obtaining a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and a Masters in Organizational Leadership (MSOL). Kathy has lectured over the last 25 years at local, regional and national dental events.
Jonathan Eskow, Esq is the Founder and lead attorney of Eskow Law Group, one of the largest health care-exclusive law firms in the country. Jonathan and his team at Eskow Law Group work closely with hundreds of dentists, group practices and DSOs across a wide range of areas, with a specific focus on practice transitions, DSO affiliations, employment agreements and corporate structuring. Eskow Law Group is a new and refreshing type of law firm built on transparency, flexibility, communication and real personal experience. Having grown up in a family of dentists, Jonathan has a unique understanding of the business and practical needs of his dentist and DSO clients.
David Miller, is a managing partner of Rosen Dental Transitions. He has been in the New England dental market for over 10 years financing practice transitions. He also spent time as a real estate agent representing dentists in lease and purchase negotiations. Through those experiences, he has witnessed every type of transaction and understands the various buyer profiles in the market.
Ronald Perry, DMD, MS is a full time professor who received his BA from Boston College in 1984, a DMD from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 1988 and graduated with his M.S. in Dental Research from Tufts University in 1999. He has authored over 50 articles and 150 abstracts dealing with a variety of dental topics such as bonding, composite wear, prosthodontic materials and technology, whitening, practice management, and dental laboratory communication, he lectures internationally. Dr. Perry is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the Academy of Dentistry International. He was the Director of the Gavel Center for Restorative Dental Research at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He is currently the Director of International Student Program in the Department of Comprehensive Care at Tufts University. Dr. Perry is a Product Evaluator for various dental companies and publishes regularly in various trade journals. Dr. Perry is an associate in private practice in Brookline, MA.
Mark Rosen, CPA is a partner at Rosen & Associates, LLP. Mr. Rosen has more than 20 years of accounting experience. He earned his CPA license in 2001, became a Certified Financial Planner® in 2007, and earned his Series 7 and 66 license in 2017.
This course is designed as an open forum to answer your questions on transitioning a dental office. Understanding what goes into selling and buying a dental office, timing in today's economy, taxes, post covid effects, obtaining a loan to purchase an office, and how increasing interest rates will challenge and create opportunities. Learn from the many years of experience from Kathy Ells, David Miller, Jon Eskow, Esq, and Mark Rosen, CPA and moderated by Dr. Ronald Perry.
- Understand how to prepare to sell your practice, documents you need, and the plan you need for a successful sale
- Find a practice to purchase and what you need to do to prepare for your purchase
- Identify when is the right time to purchase a practice and using an action plan to execute on the opportunity
