Rolando Nunez, DDS is a member of the research and development department of BISCO, Inc. He served as an assisting editor of the Journal of Prosthodontics.

In this course, you will be taught how to effectively bond to Zirconia in order to achieve predictable results in a consistent fashion.

After this course attendees will be able to:
  • Understand the differences between etchable ceramics (lithium disilicate, porcelain) and non-etchable ceramics (zirconia)
  • Identify how to obtain the most pristine surface to optimize the bond on the Zirconia surface
  • Understand the effect on saliva on the zirconia surface and how it prevents proper chemical bond
  • Be able to apply proper protocols when it comes to decontamination, achieving micromechanical retention and chemical bond
  • Determine what protocols to follow, and what materials to use.
  • Determine when to bond and when to lute (or cement)
