Whew! What a two years it has been dealing with Covid-19 and the disruption and upheaval in our lives. We have suffered losses of many types, our patience and creativity strained, and we often functioned on auto pilot. Now things have eased, but trying to get back to “normal” feels weird and strange.—because there is a new normal now!

In this course the instructor will share practical ways for you to navigate the new normal using the inner strengths we have used in facing the challenges of this pandemic. Attendees will discuss the multidimensional and holistic view of health and healing, and the mind/body/spirit connection relative to positive stress management and resilience, and help you create a personal road map to navigate through this new normal without getting lost. Learn strategies and techniques to create, maintain, and sustain resilience, using grace, patience, and humor. Bring these techniques into your personal lives, and in your clinical practice, to decrease anxiety and stress, increase resilience, and promote health and happiness for you, your patient, and the entire dental team.

After this course attendees will be able to:
  • Describe the holistic approach to health and healing
  • List three physical responses of the body to stress
  • Identify diseases that may result from chronic and/or mismanaged stress
  • Demonstrate the abdominal or “belly” breath
  • Develop ways to practice self care
Recommended Audience: Assistant, Dentist, Hygienist, Office, Technician
