TMD cases have a stigma of being tricky. Not necessarily because they are hard to treat, but because the signs and symptoms can present in so many different ways that it makes treatment options more confusing to navigate. This course is designed to simplify TMD cases into categories that will lead to more strategic and successful treatment decisions.

After this course attendees will be able to:
  • Understand and implement a stepwise TMJ evaluation
  • Compare joint versus muscle-related TMD issues
  • Identify leading causes of TMD signs and symptoms
  • Manage acute TMD emergencies
  • Create a decision tree to properly select occlusal guard design and material
  • Describe combination treatment modalities for TMD management
