Dental clinicians are often one of the first to identify a patient at risk of the harmful effects of an oral-systemic acidic environment. Having the opportunity to find these presentations earlier on puts us in a opportunistic position to help our patients not only identify and manage oral complications of acid erosion but also encourage them to take steps to heal the rest of their body as well.

This course will provide insightful pearls on identifying, educating, and treating patients with acid erosion.

After this course attendees will be able to:
  • Understand the etiologies of dental acid erosion
  • Educate patients on potential underlying systemic conditions associated with dental acid erosion
  • Identify the difference between erosion, abrasion, and attrition
  • Manage erosion cases in your practice
Recommended Audience: Assistant, Dentist, Hygienist
