Platelet-rich Fibrin (PRF) brings new challenges to the dental practice. When manufacturing autologous blood concentrates, special contamination controls and protocols should be followed to avoid cross contamination. The instructor will teach attendees how to manufacture PRF membranes and plugs from the patient's own blood, and to use them to make sticky bone and steaky bone to accelerate healing at the post extraction site. Attendees will learn all basics and history of PRF and the future use of Liquid PRF for facial rejuvenation and hair growth.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explain the basic science of PRF
  • Differentiate all autologous blood concentrates, which includes PRP, PRGF, PRF, Choukroun's L-PRF, A-PRF, I-PRF, and new PRF                                      
  • Determine how to make sticky bone and steaky bone
  • Recognize the past, present, and future of using PRF and liquid PRF in facial rejuvenation, joints, hair growth and ED.
  • Identify how to comply with  OSHA, CDC, and other federal regulations
