In this course, attendees will learn about the transition marketplace today, how your practice compares, getting your practice ready for transitioning, the financial aspects of an appraisal, and the role of EBITDA. We will also review tax strategies in selling and what is involved in a buyer due diligence, along with the steps involved in the legal process to get to closing.

- Discuss what is impacting the marketplace for the sale of your practice
- Determine why an appraisal is a good idea and which key factors affect value
- Explain what EBITDA is and what it means for your sale
- Discover tax strategies in selling that could save you hundreds of thousands of dollars
- Understand the steps in the legal process from offer to closing
- List common legal pitfalls, risks, and opportunities to reduce your liability after the closing
- Evaluate whether you should lease or sell the real estate with the practice
