As healthcare professionals, optimal community water fluoridation is probably something we have believed in most of our lives. Having something so accepted, suddenly challenged, can put us at a terrible disadvantage and leave us wondering. We think we know it’s a common good, but we forget why. This course will give you a foundation on which to build so that you can inform your patients of the current correct science and prepare you with strategies should this become an issue in your local community at large.

Speakers

After this course attendees will be able to:

  • Identify and expose confirmation bias

  • Engage counter opposition to optimal community water fluoridation
  • Participate in promoting optimal fluoridation strategies as healthcare professionals
  • Provide care strategies for all patients based on the highest levels of evidence
  • Understand remineralization and carious lesions
