Attendees will attend a 3-hour “half-day” course that introduces the basic principles of orthodontic tooth moment and clear aligner therapy. This course aims to cover the fundamental orthodontic concepts and patient selection for starting aligner treatment in the dental office. Clinical steps for bonding and interproximal reduction techniques are discussed to highlight some of the techniques utilized for clear aligner therapy. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the business skills necessary to incorporate clear aligners into everyday practice.
Speakers
After this course attendees will be able to:
- Discuss patient evaluation and patient selection for clear aligner treatment
- Understand basic principles of orthodontic tooth movement and clear aligner therapy
- Determine the records required for orthodontic treatment and workflow for ordering aligners
- Identify clinical steps necessary for delivering aligner, bonding attachments, and performing Interproximal Reduction (IPR)
- Explain monitoring and fit of clear aligners
- Discover business skills to begin incorporating clear aligners into practice
