We will discuss the cosmetic, biological, and functional significance of keratinized tissue around dental implants and natural teeth. We will also discuss different techniques to restore keratinized tissue around implants and teeth. A video presentation will also be provided.
Speakers
After this course attendees will be able to:
- Assess periodontal versus peri-implant tissue in health and disease
- Compare keratinized tissue versus alveolar mucosa
- Identify different surgical techniques to restore keratinized tissue
- Understand autogenous soft tissue augmentation versus allograft and xenograft tissue grafts
- Examine outcomes of treatment and prognosis based on the health of soft tissues
