This course will focus on the management of some of the most common and frustrating complications associated with day to day practice. A focus on potential drug reactions we see on a daily basis and how to avoid problems will be covered. A review of how to avoid post op infections, and also how to manage them will be covered, along with the diagnosis and management of the most common surgical complications a general dentist will see on a daily basis. Some of the most common implant complications along with other restorative hacks will also be covered, the topics will all be relative to your daily practice and will all be focused on practical and applicable methods of managing problems that we will all be able to use daily.
Speakers
After this course attendees will be able to:
- Identify drugs that impact your daily practice with an emphasis on new drugs like the GLP-1 agonists and SGLT2 inhibitors
- Develop strategies for managing patients related to their drug therapy and what to look for in a health history to avoid problems
- Implement strategies for avoiding and managing immediate and post op surgical complications in a general practice
- Manage the anticoagulated patient in the dental practice with an emphasis on how to manage bleeding by the general practitioner
- Avoid and manage infections in the dental practice
- Determine the most common and frustrating implant complications
