Prosthetic complications can occur at any time and place for new and existing patients. It is vital to know how to manage these complications when we see them. Even more critical for long-term success for our patients is our ability to predict future outcomes and complications for our patients prior to, during, and after treatment. In this course, a variety of fixed and removable prosthetic complications that may be commonly encountered will be discussed and how to manage and prevent them.
Speakers
After this course attendees will be able to:
- Identify common fixed and removable prosthetic complications seen in daily clinical practice
- Understand risk factors and considerations for prosthetic rehabilitation
- Examine dental material choices to prevent complications and increase predictability
- Incorporate emergency procedures that increase daily productivity
- Recognize the cost associated with prosthetic complications
- Develop protocols to manage and predict these complications
