Using a series of real case studies and also responding to questions and scenarios from the audience, the panel will discuss key patient risk management principles to avoid Board complaints and litigation.

- Realize the role of patient selection in meeting the standard of care
- Learn techniques for resolving patient complaints early
- Discover effective behaviors for communicating with difficult patients
- Understand how patient noncompliance can lead to malpractice claims
- Recognize the importance of documentation in completing patient care and defending malpractice actions
