With thousands of oral care products on the market—and even more misinformation online—dental professionals are under increasing pressure to guide patients toward safe, effective at-home care. This course explores the latest science behind the oral microbiome, how ingredients truly impact patient outcomes, and how to decode marketing claims from clinical truth. You’ll go beyond the fluoride vs. non-fluoride debate to discover evidence-based insight on prebiotics, probiotics, antibiotics, salivary pH, and biomimetic technologies like nano-hydroxyapatite. We’ll also examine the risks of popular “natural” products and discuss how to help patients choose formulations that actually support oral and systemic health. Finally, we’ll cover the newest innovations in toothbrush and floss technology, including how modern bristle design is transforming home hygiene—especially for patients with sensitivity, caries risk, or periodontal issues. Walk away with a powerful framework for confidently recommending at-home oral care products in 2026 and beyond.
