Occlusion in training and application has been so over complicated that is difficult to understand and implement. During this course, the instructor will review the five foundational concepts of occlusion as they relates to our restorative planning and execution. Each concept will be supported in case application.
Speakers
After this course attendees will be able to:
- Identify the functional and parafunctional risks that we face in restorative care
- Appreciate compression and sheer forces and how to manage them
- Discuss the five foundational concepts of occlusion
- Simplify the concept of equilibration
- Understand the advantages and limitations of occlusal instrumentation
- Demystify “centric relation” and other occlusal terminology
