Clinical management of geriatric patients can be both blessed and challenging, especially as oral health can mean life-or death for them. The instructor learned this well through treating nursing facility patients for the last 30 years. When and how to safely employ restorative, surgical, preventive, and prosthetic techniques for ageing and medically complicated patients will be discussed.

- Identify the “deadly five” conditions that stop care
- Understand when, where, and how to treat aging/special needs patients
- Address adverse dental, medical, pharmacological, and psychological concerns
- Discover new clinical tips, materials, and treatment strategies
- Enhance communication with non-verbal, cognitively impaired patients
