Marissa Gora, RDH

is a tenured faculty member at Malcolm X College Dental Hygiene program located in Chicago, Illinois. She is a registered dental hygienist and has worked in the Chicagoland area alongside many general dentists and specialists. Currently, Marissa is a clinical coordinator, working in the clinic and radiology lab with first-year dental hygiene students at Malcolm X College. Marissa also lectures on the subjects of Dental Radiology and Dental Hygiene Theory. She holds a bachelor’s degree in special education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She further pursued her passion for education by obtaining a master’s degree from Governors State University, in curriculum and instruction. Marissa was recognized for her teaching abilities in 2019 when she received the Luminary award, which highlights her commitment to professional growth and continuous learning. Marissa is dedicated to student success and continues to lead in the field of dental hygiene education at Malcolm X College in her role as assistant professor and the first-year clinical coordinator.
