- Apply effective communication strategies to enhance interactions with patients with special health care needs, their caregivers, and the dental team
- Recognize key treatment considerations and adapt clinical approaches to meet the individual needs of patients with special health care needs
- Formulate patient-centered treatment plans that promote safe, effective, and compassionate care
- Evaluate patient scenarios and clinical cases to strengthen decision-making and apply practical strategies in everyday practice
- Identify situations in which referral to a specialist or multidisciplinary provider is appropriate to optimize patient outcomes
