CE Hours
This course explores how minimally invasive dentistry and disease management principles can be applied in dental practices that serve Medicaid populations. Rooted in prevention and early intervention, minimally invasive care focuses on preserving natural tooth structure, improving long-term oral health outcomes, and reducing the need for invasive restorative procedures. Medicaid dental programs promote oral health equity by providing essential dental services to low-income individuals and underserved communities, ensuring that everyone has access to quality oral health care regardless of socioeconomic status. Participants will learn how to integrate caries management techniques and patient education strategies into care models that align with Medicaid guidelines and goals. While this course will focus primarily on the Massachusetts Medicaid program (MassHealth), the concepts and strategies discussed are broadly applicable to Medicaid programs in other states. All are welcome to attend.
