In this course, attendees will perform hands-on exercises on plastic blocks. (Please bring 2 previously accessed teeth if desired). We will establish a foundation for predictable NiTi instrumentation for superior cleaning with minimal removal of dentin. Irrigation protocol proposed by PennEndo will be discussed. Sealer-based obturation with Bioceramics will be demonstrated. The aim of the course is to understand endodontic biologic principles and to evolve with the revolutionary changes in the discipline.
Speakers
In this course attendees will:
- Implement a structured, repeatable workflow for canal instrumentation and obturation that can be readily incorporated into clinical practice
- Instrument root canals to biologically acceptable sizes using the XP system and finisher
- Obturate with sealer-based obturation technique using bioceramic sealers
- Explain the concept of bioactivity, especially as it relates to obturation materials
- Recognize the differences and similarities between the newer and older materials and files
