Endodontic emergencies are a common and often challenging aspect of general dental practice, requiring timely diagnosis, effective pain management, and confident clinical decision-making. This course provides a practical, evidence-based approach to the diagnosis and management of acute endodontic conditions commonly encountered in daily practice.
Participants will review pulpal and periapical diagnostic protocols, differentiate odontogenic from non-odontogenic pain, and learn predictable treatment strategies for conditions such as symptomatic irreversible pulpitis, apical periodontitis, and acute abscesses. Emphasis will be placed on efficient chairside techniques, appropriate use of anesthesia, and decision-making regarding pulpotomy, pulpectomy, or referral.
By integrating clinical guidelines with real-world scenarios, this course equips general dentists with the tools needed to manage emergencies effectively, improve patient comfort, and enhance clinical outcomes.
