In this course, atttendees will learn how anterior deprogrammers simplify diagnosis, improve communication, and establish a repeatable starting point for comprehensive treatment planning. Through demonstrations, hands-on exercises, mounted models, and case discussions, clinicians will gain practical techniques they can immediately implement.
Speakers
In this course attendees will:
• Discuss the principles and clinical applications of anterior-only appliances, including the QuickSplint, Kois Deprogrammer, Pankey Bite Stop, and Lucia Jig
• Demonstrate the design, fabrication, and delivery of an anterior deprogrammer for clinical use
• Review the muscles of the craniomandibular system and explain how anterior deprogrammers can be used as diagnostic tools to evaluate muscle engrams, mandibular position, and record-taking
• Practice obtaining an accurate record using an anterior deprogrammer and leaf gauge
• Demonstrate the use of a dentofacial analyzer through a hands-on exercise and apply the information obtained to case planning and final treatment delivery
