Drawing on nearly 13 years of experience as a general dentist and extensive continuing education in dental implantology, the instructor developed this curriculum specifically for the needs and realities of the general practitioner. The course focuses on the foundational knowledge essential for making safe, confident clinical decisions while navigating the overwhelming amount of information and marketing within the implant industry. Attendees will gain practical tools, evidence-based insights, and immediately applicable skills that can be incorporated into everyday practice.

- Describe the basic principles of dental implants
- Differentiate among commonly used implant materials and discuss their clinical applications
- Identify the features and indications of common dental implant designs
- Recognize the components of implant prosthetic systems and explain their functions
- Compare implant–abutment connection designs and discuss their clinical considerations
- Evaluate patient selection criteria by assessing medical history, oral health, and factors that may influence implant treatment outcomes
