The Blue Zones are places in the world where people live to be over 100 years old, enjoying healthy, happy and fulfilling lives, free of most of the chronic diseases and maladies that characterize modern life in our 21st Century. What is their secret? What foods, practices, and aspects of their lifestyle can we bring into our lives today, for happier, healthier, and more vibrant lives – not only for today but for tomorrow as well?
This course is designed for all members of the dental team. It will focus on studying inflammation as the root cause of many of the chronic diseases we battle in our healthcare system today. We will discuss and explore lifestyle factors that promote inflammation, which can lead to the development of chronic diseases such as type two diabetes, cancer, migraine headaches, and gastrointestinal and cardiovascular diseases.
