This course provides a practical, case-based review of operative dentistry for the general dentist. Through multiple challenging restorative cases, participants will review decision-making strategies for direct restorations, adhesive dentistry, dental material selection, isolation, and rubber dam implementation. Emphasis will be placed on clinically relevant techniques that improve efficiency, predictability, restoration longevity, and patient outcomes in everyday restorative practice.

After this course attendees will be able to:
- Select appropriate operative strategies based on caries extent, tooth structure, isolation, occlusion, and restorative prognosis in challenging restorative cases
- Describe evidence-informed adhesive protocols for enamel, dentin, and restorative materials commonly encountered in operative dentistry
- Select appropriate dental materials for direct restorative cases based on esthetics, biomechanics, handling, longevity, and clinical indication
- Apply rubber dam isolation techniques and operative pearls that improve visibility, moisture control, efficiency, and restorative predictability
