The Worn Dentition: Ways to Meet & Treat Challenges from Planning to Execution
From diagnosis of reasons for wear and erosion to assessing vertical dimension and treatment options that fit within patient’s financial comfort zone will be covered, showing case examples from diagnosis through treatment. The challenges of the worn dentition leave many mystified with what treatment is possible and affordable. Learning what it takes, from comprehensive exam and patient input through treatment planning and testing of new occlusion prior to completing case will be reviewed. The instructor will present how we make decisions on vertical dimension, one arch or both, selection of which teeth to crown versus composite build-ups, and long-term planning and protection.

After this course attendees will be able to:
- Assess and rebuild vertical functionally and esthetically
- Identify the causes of tooth wear and erosion and evaluate their implications for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Compare treatment options that align with patients' periodontal health, TMJ considerations, occlusal challenges, and financial goals
- Explain how to help preserve treatment outcomes and maximize the longevity of restorative investments
