is a Board Certified Forensic Odontologist consultant working at the Wayne County (Detroit) Michigan Medical Examiners Office. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and is a past President of the American Board of Forensic Odontology, a past Chair of the Odontology Section of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and is a past President of the American Society of Forensic Odontology. He is a member of DMORT and was one of the responders to both WTC and Hurricane Katrina.
He has co-authored chapters in the Manual of Forensic Odontology, 4th and 5th Edition, is a member of the AAFS ASB DVI Consensus Body, and a previous award winner of the AAFS Reidar Sognnaes Award (2024), the AAFS Lester Lunz Odontology Award (2018), FBI CJIS Division Assistant Director’s Award for Exceptional Public Service (2008) and the Michigan Dental Association’s Dentist Citizen of the Year – (2002).
