Mark Livingstone, Mark Livingstone is the Chief Operating Officer of Bsolve Dental, who specialize in the development and manufacture of dissolving strips for teeth whitening, and previously held the role of Technical Director on joining the company in 2014. Mark is a graduate in Chemical Physics from Glasgow University and has an MBA from Strathclyde University Graduate School of Business. He has extensive experience of research and development in the field of drug delivery and the development of novel delivery systems, working in a variety of technical and managerial roles including 12 years at Ferring Controlled Therapeutics. Mark is the author or co-author of a number of patents including those related to the Bsolve’s dissolving strip technology.

Ian Stevens, has been CEO of thin dissolving film manufacturer Bsolve Dental since 2017. He is Chairman of Epipole Limited, who manufacture ophthalmic medical devices Ian is a graduate of Edinburgh University, former Royal Air Force officer and chartered accountant who worked for KPMG from 1991 to 1997. Between 1998 and 2007 Ian was employed by retinal imaging company Optos, firstly in the role of CFO and then as General Manager North America. From 2007 to 2010 Ian was CEO of surgical medical device company Mpathy Medical and from 2011 to 2016 he was CEO of prosthetic hand manufacturer Touch Bionics.

The course will introduce dissolving whitening strip technology and provide an overview of clinical studies carried out to demonstrate their whitening efficacy with reduced tooth sensitivity.

After this course attendees will be able to:
  • Provide an overview of the clinical studies carried demonstrate the efficacy and versatility of this technology
  • Detail the clinical studies that show how dissolving strips provide reduced levels of tooth sensitivity versus other products
  • Explain the role of convenience and taste of dissolving whitening strips in increasing patient compliance and whitening efficacy
  • Demonstrate how dissolving strips provide reduced non-recyclable waste versus other whitening formats
  • Show how dissolving whitening strips can fit into a dental practice whitening offering
