Hongsheng Liu, DMD is a diplomat of American Board of Endodonics and a clinical assistant professor at Boston University School of Dental Medicine in the department of endodontics. Dr. Liu also maintains a private practice in Methuen, MA and Londonderry, NH.

This course will give attendees the fundamentals for excellence in endodontic treatment. This course is designed for clinicians with basic to intermediate RCT experience and it will help attendees to build up their clinical confidence for the challenging cases. Attendees will study the most updated endodontic knowledge and the instructor will teach modified BU endo clinic protocols. This is an intense course, with extensive time spent working on 3D printed tooth replicas. Each attendee will be required to proficiently complete at least one molar during the course.

In this course attendees will:
  • Perform a case difficulty assessment and choose the right case for your ability
  • Use minimally invasive concepts to create ideal access and eliminate cervically positioned curvature
  • Utilize negotiation: techniques to obtain patency.
  • Practice crown-down shaping strategies and apical gauging techniques
  • Review how to use irrigants, and chelating agents for negotiation, improve cleaning efficacy, and smear layer removal
  • Become confident in obturation skills. Obturation: Continuous Wave and multiple waves of Condensation technique, Bioceramic sealer based single cone technique
