Dentists have a rare opportunity to improve patients’ systemic health when providing therapy. The scientific evidence connecting oral disease and systemic illness is robust and growing and it is our responsibility as physicians of the oral cavity to enhance our diagnostic methods and treatment options that can also boost our patients’ whole-body health while synergistically delivering state of the art dentistry.
For many years now, Dr Stanley and his team have been focusing on simple protocols that any general practitioner or advanced oral surgeon can implement into their daily workflow that can help, not only to improve surgical outcomes but also to have a deep impact in patients systemic health. We have a unique opportunity to play a major role in connecting dentistry to systemic health.
